Empowering Entrepreneurs with Solid Foundation

Updated: Oct 11, 2023

MINA remains dedicated to strengthening the community through its innovative program of entrepreneurial training meticulously crafted to propel aspiring and seasoned entrepreneurs toward the pinnacle of business success. A collaborator of this transformative initiative is the esteemed professional Lucy Camba, a luminary with over 25 years of experience in business and finance. MINA’s entrepreneurial program, also available through the Fundación Compartamos in Ecuador, aspires to equip individuals with entrepreneurial vision with the practical tools they need to turn those dreams into tangible realities.

In an illuminating conversation with Verónica Travez from Fundación Compartamos, Lucy shared the driving vision behind this groundbreaking program. Drawing from her wealth of experience, she recognized the need to provide guidance in critical areas such as cash flow management, product pricing strategies, and the intricate workings of financial balance sheets, among other essentials. All too often, these are the very skills that entrepreneurs find themselves lacking, which can act as stumbling blocks to their progress. Through personalized mentorship, the entrepreneurial program diligently addresses these knowledge gaps, empowering participants with the insights required to maintain effective financial stewardship within their businesses.

At the core of this training lie fundamental questions that, as per Lucy, should be addressed from the very outset of any entrepreneurial journey: What resources do I need to acquire? What challenges lie ahead, and how will I confront them? How do I envision that crucial first sale? What does my ideal path to success look like, and if it remains undefined, how can I adapt my strategy to thrive? What fuels my motivation to embark on this entrepreneurial odyssey? These probing inquiries, when paired with expert guidance in decision-making, serve as the bedrock upon which prosperous and sustainable businesses are constructed.

MINA's mission extends beyond mere business success; it aspires to nurture individuals and enterprises that make meaningful contributions to the national economy and the broader community. In doing so, it solidifies its role as a catalyst for positive societal change. If you find yourself ready to transform your entrepreneurial vision into a thriving, enduring reality, MINA's entrepreneurship program stands ready to provide the guidance and support needed to take the right steps on the entrepreneurial path to success."
