The young entrepreneurs Destiny Núñez, Janiyah González, and Fátima Lozier have made a significant step toward developing their social projects by participating in the second phase of the Ella Inc. program at Florida International University (FIU), Miami. This intensive two-week camp, organized by the Casimiro Global Foundation, brought together 30 young women from 15 countries, providing them with a comprehensive platform to strengthen their skills and knowledge in social entrepreneurship.
A Transformative International Experience
During the camp, participants were immersed in an environment designed to foster business innovation. The interdisciplinary program offered practical sessions on project development, sustainability strategies, and stakeholder engagement. There were also workshops on advanced digital tools and impact measurement, complemented by corporate visits that provided a real-world view of business operations. These elements combined to create an enriching experience that allowed the young women to adapt their projects and prepare to make a tangible impact in their communities.
Destiny, Janiyah, and Fátima, who excelled during the development of the Ella Inc. Workshop, the first phase of the program, organized by Minorities Allied Lenders (MINA) in collaboration with IAD Solutions LLC, and partially sponsored by the Camden Education Fund, HopeWorks, and ResinTech Inc., advanced to this second phase after a rigorous selection process led by two panels of judges. Equipped with new skills and a clearer vision for their initiatives, the FIU experience not only provided them with practical knowledge but also allowed them to connect with other young leaders, exchange ideas, and build international networks that will be crucial to the success of their projects.
Commitment and Support for Female Empowerment
As part of the program, the winners of the second phase will receive seed capital to launch their projects, demonstrating the Casimiro Global Foundation’s commitment to empowering young women and fostering positive social change on a global level. MINA supported the initiative to hold the first phase for the first time in the United States, successfully hosted at HopeWorks in Camden, NJ.
Destiny Núñez, Janiyah González, and Fátima Lozier received numerous congratulations for their achievements, and MINA wishes them success in implementing their ideas and on their journey toward leadership in social entrepreneurship.
The participation of these young women in the Ella Inc. program marks a milestone in their careers, preparing them to face the challenges of social entrepreneurship with new tools and a global support network. With their determination and the training they have received, they are ready to make a significant impact in their communities.
