The event organized by MINA Lenders, in collaboration with Citizens Bank and Camden City Municipal Council’s President, Angel Fuentes, was a resounding success. It brought together prominent experts who lectured on key aspects for business success, from financing options at both local and international levels to certifications and federal contracts. The main objective was to provide relevant information for the boost, development, and growth of small businesses in South Jersey and nearby areas.
The activity, held on March 7th in the Camden City Municipal Council Chamber, featured representatives from the Small Business Administration (SBA) of the federal government: Janett Peralta, SBA business opportunities expert, Abby Martinez, Export Finance Manager for the SBA International Trade Office, and Lina M. Gomez, SBA lender relations specialist, as well as Sophie Werner, specialist from the New Jersey Business Action Center's (NJBAC) NJ STEP Commercial Expansion Program. Additionally, both Mayor Victor G. Carstarphen and Municipal Council’s President Angel Fuentes shared their perspectives alongside MINA experts and other panelists present.
This informative session provided participants with the opportunity to explore various avenues to strengthen their businesses, including the certification process for small businesses, federal contracts, commercial financing, and resources available through the SBA. In summary, this important event expanded the expectations of small business owners and future entrepreneurs, inspiring them with concrete ideas and solutions from the federal government for their businesses and projects.
